Christmas - something to dance about…
You have to be kidding... ??!
“I don’t feel like dancing,” the Scissor Sisters sang, as long ago as 2006. It’s still true, and never more than at Christmas. That song came from an album called Ta Dah. Every December it’s more like To Do … and that’s without the stress of the Big Day itself. Even if you love the bones of your family, sometimes just being with them can be survival drama. Makes the jungle, the ice rink or the dance floor look easy by comparison.
Then there’s the rows … getting it all done in time … the credit card bills in January.
So what’s there to dance about?
Well, IF it’s true, the whole Nativity story is a front runner in the feel-good stakes.
Think about it …
If you were God, and wanted to rescue human beings from their own bad behaviour, and give them real hope …
What better way than to become human yourself?
What if … the “peace on earth” thing is all true?
What if … the Christmas angels really sang?
